An off-duty cop traded shots with a group of thieves who robbed him of his Rolex watch in Brooklyn early Saturday, officials said. The officer was walking near Grove St. and Wyckoff Ave. in Bushwick when up to six men surrounded him and demanded his jewelry about 3:30 a.m., police said. During the ensuing scuffle, one of the crooks pulled a gun and fired twice, officials said. The officer returned fire, squeezing off one shot. Nobody was hit by the gunfire. Off-duty cop slashed during Queens park mugging The cop, a 10-year veteran of the force assigned to a Brooklyn precinct, was taken to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center for evaluation, officials said. His name was not released. The thieves got away with the cop’s Rolex watch and jewelry and have not been caught, police said.
