A MAN from North End has co-founded a yachting lifestyle magazine app. Sam Laurie, who races yachts professionally, created BOYD magazine with his business partner Chris Savage. The pair met when Mr Laurie was overseeing the restoration of Nahlin, a 300ft yacht. He said: “We were talking about another project and the idea popped up. Chris used to take care of Rolex’s yachting public relations so with his experience in brand management and my experience in operating and building yachts it seemed like a no-brainer. “BOYD is all about the lifestyle — if you are a yacht or boat owner you are going to have a nice car and go on nice holidays. As our clients are international, it made sense not to create a conventional magazine and the app is a lot more fun and more of an experience.
