If you thought breweries were only good for beers, food and cool meet-up spots for friends and family, think again. Thanks to the creative thinking of the Swiss back in 2010, the building that once held barrels full of Hürlimann beer has been transformed into Thermalbad & Spa Zurich . Connected to Boutique Hotel + Spa Hürlimann-Areal and run by Aqua-Spa-Resorts AG, the retreat is spread over 10,800 square feet. Its unique architecture, 100-year-old vaulted stone walls, and simple exposed brick create a one-of-a-kind spa atmosphere. Replaced by basins made of larch wood, the old metal tanks have been revamped for a more comfortable experience while still serving as a reminder of the large beer containers used in the brewery.
