Vintage Photography Shines in Project B's Rare Vernacular Prints
Sometimes a vintage vernacular photograph is more interesting than one attributed to a specific artist. The mysterious shot allows you to wonder, to play guessing games and create an entire history for the person behind the lens. With everyone and their grandmothers having digital cameras nowadays, filling their Instagram feeds with snapshots of breakfast foods and selfies, it's becoming even more important to find and preserve anonymous photos from the days past. Many of these lost shots are considered to be accidental works of art, taken by amateur photographers showcasing everyday life without the intention of creating anything long-lasting. Specializing in such pieces of artwork, Project B scours flea markets, estate sales and vintage stores for these lost photos, preserving them and creating limited edition prints for sale.
