Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race - Wild Thing scratched

The Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race Committee have scratched Wild Thing for non-compliance with loding of documents from the designer and builder under section 4.1 of the Notice of Race. Commodore, Howard Piggott, made the announcement at 1030hrs local. Specifically, Howard referred to the fact that the Race Committee had give Wild Thing's owner, Grant Wharington, every chance to meet the requirements for the vessel's design and construction in accordance with the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS Guide). 'The Race Committee has worked with Grant to allow him up to three hours before the race to provide the documentation required and the Race Committee has no option but to not accept their entry.'
