A businessman who had a £5,500 Rolex watch taken off him by Customs officers at Luton Airport says they made him feel like a shoplifter. Charles Stewardson and his wife Katrina were coming home from Geneva after a skiing trip in March last year when their holiday became a nightmare. After a stressful trip and long queues with their two tearful toddlers in tow, the couple were stopped in the green channel. Mrs Stewardson was carrying a large gift box containing a Rolex Submariner GMT watch she had picked up at Geneva Airport as a present for her husband. As Switzerland is not in the EU, a £390 import limit applied and the luxury timepiece was taken off the couple as their children, aged two and four, looked on. UK Border Force has since repeatedly refused to give it back - and has even accused Mr Stewardson of a "dishonest" bid to evade import duties. But now a tribunal jud...
