Rolex ties up with Formula 1; Becomes official timekeeper

Luxury watchmaking brand, Rolex has taken its partnership with Formula 1 even further with the announcement of becoming the official timekeeper and timepiece for 2013 and the following seasons. As a part of the agreement, Rolex will give the time in different locations during each Grand Prix over the entire season. To further reinforce its mark in what is the pinnacle of motorsports, Rolex says that the brand’s logo will be positioned around the circuit and at several corners during the races. Gian Riccardo Marini, Chief Executive Officer of Rolex SA, said, “This is an exciting step for us at Rolex as the fit between Formula One and our brand feels very natural and, like all great partnerships, needs little explanation”
