Here was my second exciting find, a watch stored way down in the vaults of NAWCC, but hopefully soon to be given a pride of place in a special exhibition being arranged later this year, 'Enlisting Time', timepieces worn by great sportsman during amazing accomplishments This 'is' a true American military timepiece 'gem' As you know, I have always had an interest in water proofing of early watches from the 1891 Borgel design like below: Notice how the movement screws into the case - the classic Borgel patent: Through the Fully Hermetic, like the Gruen or my Eberhard posted here a few days ago.
