Aeroméxico confirmed its order for six Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. Based upon the published list of the aircraft, the finalized deal is valued at more than $1.2 billion. The Mexican commercial airline also holds a reconfirmation status on four additional Dreamliners. The aircraft, which is made primarily of composite parts, is the first midsize airplane that is capable of flying long-range routes. Aeroméxico will use its Dreamliners to replace the older aircraft it uses for Asian, European, and South American flights. The operating costs of the aircraft are significantly less than other airplanes of comparable size.
