Thompson Hotels has launched a new 'food truck concierge' to guide guests around New York's growing street-food scene. Here, Katie Winter, the 'food truck concierge' at 60 Thompson hotel, tells us where to find her favourite meals on-the-go, from breakfast burritos to dumplings, waffles and ice-cream sandwiches. 'There are specific places where food trucks tend to congregate such as Long Island City, where there's a Food Truck Lot (43-29 Crescent Street, Queens) which features the same vendors each day. In Brooklyn, hit up food market Smorgasburg (www.smorgasburg.com ), and try Red Hook Lobster Pound (www.redhooklobsterpound.com ) along with the Vendy Awards winner Lumpia Shack (www.lumpia-shack.com ). In Manhattan, it's hard to go three blocks without hitting a food truck, but the best places are in Union Square , where they are all lined up, along with the Financial Dist...
