Nobu, the renowned global restaurant collection that counts A-list celebrities among its diners, is to open its first hotel in Las Vegas before the end of 2012. The project - Nobu Hotel Ceasars Palace - was announced this week by founding Nobu Hospitality partners including Chef Nobu Matsuhisa and the actor Robert De Niro. The hotel's rooms will be centrally located within the Ceasar's Palace resort, but with its own lounge, reception and check-in. The group are claiming it is the world's first celebrity-chef branded hotel venture, and that residents will easily recognize the transformation from the Vegas glitz of Ceasar's Palace to the Zen tranquility of Hotel Nobu.
