This week's food news: a sourdough hotel, a North Korean chain restaurant and the chef who served up his privates

While whisky is often had on its own, usually after dinner with a cigar, there are many who believe that it can be paired with food. The Wine Guy at Langham Place is one of these people, and he will be teaching a master class on pairing vintage Glenrothes whiskies with Japanese robata skewers, pata negra, and artisanal chocolates with fillings such as orange and morels; pink peppercorn and strawberry; and green tea tofu. Available throughout June, the class is held in robotayaki restaurant Tokoro’s private room and is priced at HK$2,688 for six people. The whiskies that will be sampled include:
