It is almost impossible to believe – only a decade ago the World Wide Web was used for travel research, but bookings were still done by travel agents. These days, Singaporeans do 1.2 million travel-related searches a month according to WeGo.com , and bookings are increasingly made online. You may think that’s a lot of travel agents out of business, but I’m not so sure – I have been using the same one, and have had the same helpful agent serving me every time, for the best part of a decade. But I have changed my habits, and I do book online more often than not.
