Like you we are a riot of mis matched ornaments that are full of memories and nostalgia. My mum and dad who lost their parents at this time of year and who don’t really ‘do’ christmas because of it, got their tree and ornaments down this year as a favour to my children. We lost lots of the vintage glass ornaments that were their parents after the cat climbed the tree one year to disastrous effect, but there are still some wonderful memories with the things that are left. Mum has some egg cup and milk bottle top bells that I made at nursery school nearly forty years ago, and one amazing sixties clip on earring that belonged to her sister who died, and always brings back wonderful memories of her. Christmas trees should be a thing of love and nostalgia always. Thanks for sharing yours.xx
