Wondered where all the rockstars stay when in #Paris?

Over the 12 years I've stayed at the Pavillon de la Reine in Paris's Marais district, the place has barely changed. The rooms, and some of the suites, are still mainly small, rather dark and equipped with the sort of bulky, plain-fabric furniture that most smart Parisian hotels got rid of years ago. Likewise it retains those chunky, tasselled door keys that disappeared in the 1980s. The lift remains unfeasibly tiny; the staff are, as ever, virtually invisible and there is still no restaurant. The in-room satellite TV provides only two English-speaking channels, and the antique minibar continues to keep cold drinks nice and warm. In short, Le Pavillon is old-school, recalcitrant French in ecxelsis ; and it's hardly cheap. So why do I keep coming back?
